In December 2003 Vanderlande Industries US Inc., announced the signed contracts with the DFW International Airport Integrated Partners, in Dallas, Texas for a total value of approximately USD 22 million. The awards were for the supply and implementation of the inline Hold Baggage Screening Systems (HBS) and associated controls for the expansion of Terminals B and E.

  • Vanderlande Industries will be integrating 22 Explosive Detection Screening (EDS) machines with its baggage handling equipment in Terminals B and E.
  • Approximately 12,000 feet of conveyors, and associated equipment built in and around existing baggage operations is required to complete the two baggage projects.
  • Additional equipment includes VERTISORTER, tilted TRIPLANAR in addition to our standard belt conveyor.
  • Both terminals require modifications and tie-ins to the existing operational baggage sortation systems serving a number of major airline carriers.
  • Vanderlande Industries, together with Brock Solutions are also responsible for the supply and installation of the controls system.

The new systems came on line in September of 2004 and was completed in August 2005.
