PICK@EASE innovative ergonomic order picking workstation
Order picking is the most labour intensive activity in a DC. Nowadays, it is difficult to find and retain good staff, as the work can be physically difficult. To improve operator working conditions, companies are stepping away from the traditional ‘man-to-goods’ order picking process. Today, many companies are implementing a ‘goods-to-man’ process. The operator workstation plays a crucial role in such a system.
With PICK@EASE Vanderlande Industries has developed a family of ergonomic workstations that offer a wide range of capacities (100 – 1.000 orderlines / hour) incl. value added services. The modular set up of the workstations supports all possible business and order profiles and can be matched to specific business needs in the retail and technical wholesale sector.

- Optimal ergonomics because of horizontal order picking (1 level)
- Ideal height for the operator by movable platform

PICK@EASE has been designed in accordance with the latest ergonomics studies, in close cooperation with Dutch research institute TNO. TNO researched the actual product on its ergonomic and performance merits during a series of real-life operator tests held at our Innovation Centre in Veghel, the Netherlands. The German TÜV has validated TNO’s assessment for PICK@EASE.4 and certified the ergonomics claims and sustainable performance.
