UPS Worldport Expansion Project completed
After four years of dedicated hard work and cooperation between UPS and Vanderlande Industries, the UPS Worldport Expansion project in Louisville (USA) is now finalized. Senior executives of UPS, Scott Wicker and Mark Scherrens, along with Joop Broeksteeg, President of DPP division for North America and Michiel Peters, President and CEO of Vanderlande Industries, visited Vanderlande Industries headquarters in The Netherlands to celebrate the successful completion of the project.
The new system will be the 18th POSISORTER supplied to Bartolini since 1998 Vanderlande Industries has received an order from Bartolini, Italy’s number one express parcel company, to install a further automatic parcel-sorting system in its new logistics centre in Landriano, south-east of Milan. The new sorter is the 18th such system to be installed in Bartolini sorting centres throughout Italy.
Barcelona Airport has won the title of Europe’s best airport in the ‘over 25 million passengers’ category of the 2010 ACI EUROPE awards. The outstanding achievements of the SATE baggage handling system in Terminal 1 contributed significantly to the success.
Satisfactory order intake for Vanderlande Industries in difficult market
Vanderlande Industries, a leading player on the global market for design and delivery of complex automated material handling systems, achieved an order intake of EUR 611 million in financial year 2010 (ending March 31st 2010).
