Vanderlande Industries introduces new goods to man solutions at CeMAT
At CeMAT 2008 (Hannover, Germany, May 27-31, 2008) Vanderlande Industries will be unveiling the first information on its new range of goods-to-man solutions, based on an integral supply chain approach to warehouse process solutions. Essential part is a new family of order picking workstations which offer ergonomic picking with a sustainable operator performance. This is made possible by the focus on ergonomics right form the start of the design. The Dutch TNO has cooperated in the development and investigated and approved the workstations.
Brains in material handling
These days material handling systems are more than just equipment. Today's automation requires more and more understanding of an individual customer's supply chain and his processes. As a result, the material handling business requires complete warehouse process solutions that are IT driven and has become more brains and less steel. The range of goods-to-man process solutions is an example of such integral warehouse process solutions, including automated storage, workstations and IT.
Ergonomic item picking solutions with sustainable performance
The workstations are an essential part of the goods-to-man solutions. The part of the family of workstations Vanderlande is now introducing is targeted at the high capacity end and focuses on enabling a sustainable performance. The special care that has been taken of ergonomics has resulted in a range of workstations preventing RSI and fatigue thus increasing effective operator time. The workstations have been developed in close cooperation with Dutch TNO who has investigated and approved the workstations. In the near future, the family will be extended with similar ergonomic workstations with sustainable operator performance that focus more on value added services.
The customer speaks at CeMAT
