Total of 17 systems help Bartolini to strengthen its leadership position
Vanderlande Industries has implemented a total of 17 POSISORTER systems for the Italian Parcel & Postal specialist Bartolini. Bartolini’s main goal was to strengthen its leading position on the Italian market by improving its service quality. Key factors for the system design were achieving high capacities with optimum use of the available floor space plus highly accurate sorting performance.
The POSISORTER provides high-capacity sorting for parcels of a wide range of shapes and sizes. To ensure that the maximum capacity can be consistently achieved, a GAPPEX enforces the optimum spacing between parcels for efficient, high-speed sorting.
The sorting process in Bartolini’s depots is controlled by a Flow System Controller (FSC), which handles all information flows from and to the sorting equipment and the host computer.
