Faster sorting for Schenker Express Oy
To meet the continuously growing demand for parcel de¬liveries, Schenker Express Oy has invested in the installation of a new parcel sorter at its parcel terminal in Helsinki.
The parcel sorter, with a total length of 75 metres, is equipped with 30 sorting destinations that are all equally divided. The system is based on the POSISORTER technology, which offers high reliability, high flexibility and high efficiency.
Each of the six infeed stations can handle parcels of up to 1,200 mm and 60 kg. The system achieves a speed of 120 metres per minute with the possibility for future upgrades.
