Parts & Components

Logistics operations for technical parts and components and spare parts have very high customer requirements. Next-day delivery, late cut-off times for orders and value-added services are vital. Large numbers of different items have to be stored and maintained, placing specific requirements on the tracking and tracing of serial numbers within the material handling system.

We can help you to optimise your parts and components logistics operation. We have already designed and implemented automated warehouses for technical wholesalers and distributors, including Arrow Electronics, Plieger, TVH forklift parts, Farnell, Theo FörchRS Components, Samsung and Würth.

Plieger is a leading technical wholesaler of sanitary, heating, electrical and installation products in the Netherlands. They invested in an automated zone picking system with 24 zones, including a Warehouse Control System (WCS). This has brought Plieger major benefits, including lower operational costs, higher efficiency, productivity and picking accuracy and substantial process improvement by picking orders directly into shipping totes (pick and pack system).

Arrow Electronics is the world's largest distributor of electronic components. Their solution consists of an

The system resulted in delivery reliability exceeding 99,5% and 95% of shipments delivered next day.

TVH Forklift Parts is Europe’s largest independent distributor of fork lift trucks and components. In their automated warehouse in Waregem, Belgium they store 450.000 SKUs from which they meet an average of 4.000 orders and 13.000 orderlines per day. Medium moving products, stored in 6 miniloads, are picked via goods-to-man order picking stations. In the near future, 3 new PICK@EASE workstations will be implemented. Faster moving products are picked via a zone picking concept, supported by RF terminals. Order lead times have been shortened significantly and orders can now be based on actual customer demand. In addition, the new system has reduced manpower levels and improved picking accuracy.
