Sorbo invests in unique automated storage and order consolidation system for 2.200 products per hour
Sorbo is a supplier of non-food products, delivering large Dutch retailers. Sorbo in Duiven (NL) gave an order to Vanderlande Industries and RSW IP for the supply of an high end automated storage and order consolidation system. The system includes an automatic palletizer (MLS Spider) for dollies, roll cages as well as pallets.
The capacity of the existing system was not sufficient anymore because of acquisition and autonomous growth. The installation of the new system will lead to more efficient handling and shipping of the daily goods flow.
The system consists of an order consolidation system based on 2 QUICKSTORE HDS automated storage and retrieval systems (AS/RS) for cartons and totes. Every QUICKSTORE HDS can reach a throughput of 1.000 totes / cartons per hour. Second part of the system is an automatic mixed case palletizer (MLS Spider) of RSW IP for cartons and totes on dollies, roll cages and pallets. Products can be palletized automatically with a capacity of 2.200 per hour.
